The classic horse piñata is a vibrant symbol of celebration and tradition in Mexican culture. While piñatas are usually made of papier-mâché, this art object is crafted entirely from clay. Shaped like a majestic horse, this hybrid piñata captures the spirit of playfulness through its bold colors and cleverly designed clay bottles that resemble plastic joints.

Introducing an exquisite piece from Jacaranda Kori's thought-provoking installation, "Becoming Plastic," featured in her solo exhibition curated by Dr. Ayelet Zohar. This unique ceramic sculpture imitates the lightweight and playful appearance of a traditional piñata, yet it is skillfully crafted entirely from ceramic, challenging perceptions of materiality and texture.

"Becoming Plastic," showcased at Beit Benyamini Gallery in Tel Aviv in 2022, explores the transformative journey from nature to synthetic waste within the context of the Anthropocene. It invites viewers to reflect on the planet's ecological challenges and the perpetual state of transformation in human and natural existence, as theorized by philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.

With its vivid hues and dynamic textures, this ceramic piece is perfect for collectors and art enthusiasts interested in contemporary and conceptual art, as well as modern ceramic artistry.

This piece can be hung from the ceiling or displayed standing on a table.
